The complex action of Cystel® is determined by the properties of its constituent D-mannose and bearberry leaf extract.

D-mannose has an antiadhesive effect against most infectious agents of cystitis. Most of the D-mannose that enters the body is not metabolized and enters the bladder. There it prevents bacteria from attaching to the urinary tract mucosa. As a result, bacteria with urine flow are actively excreted from the body, stopping its negative impact on the body.

Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi or Uva-ursi) is a well-known uroseptic with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and diuretic effects.
