Composition
Active ingredient: dexpanthenol;
1 g of ointment contains 50 mg of dexpanthenol
Excipients: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, white wax, lanolin, white soft paraffin, refined almond oil, mineral oil, Prothegin X (mineral oil, yellow soft paraffin, ozokerite, glycerol oleate, lanolin alcohol), purified water.
Dosage form
Ointment.
Main physicochemical properties:
Homogeneous ointment of white color with a creamy tint, with a specific smell of lanolin.
Pharmacotherapeutic group
Means for treating wounds and ulcerative lesions. Preparations that promote healing (scarring) of wounds. Dexpanthenol.
Indications
Bepanthen ointment should be used in the following cases:
To accelerate healing and epithelialization of the skin in cases of micro-injuries (mild burns and abrasions)
In skin irritations (e.g., due to radiotherapy, phototherapy, or exposure to ultraviolet rays)
In chronic skin ulcers and pressure sores; anal fissures; cervical erosion and after skin grafting;
For the prevention and treatment of cracked or rough and dry skin;
For regular preventive care of the breasts in nursing women, and for treating irritations and cracks in the nipples;
For the care of infants: prevention and treatment of diaper dermatitis;
For treating the skin of patients during and after local application of corticosteroids.
Contraindications for Bepanthen
Hypersensitivity to dexpanthenol or other components of the preparation.
