Influenza A and B viruses, the CORONOVIRUS linked with severe acute respiratory illness, are specifically inhibited (SARS-associated coronavirus). According to the mechanism of antiviral activity, it belongs to the fusion inhibitors (fusion), interacts with the virus's hemagglutinin, and hinders the fusing of the virus's lipid envelope and cell membranes.

It has a mild immunostimulatory effect. It enhances humoral and cellular immunological responses, macrophage phagocytic function, and boosts the body's resistance to viral infections. Reduces the occurrence of viral infection complications as well as chronic bacterial illness exacerbations.

Prevention and treatment of influenza A and B, SARS, including those complicated by bronchitis and pneumonia; secondary immunodeficiency states; complex management of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, and recurring herpetic infection in adults and children.

Arbidol helps to prevent postoperative infectious issues and restore the normal immunological condition. It can used  as a component of the complicated treatment for rotavirus-related acute intestinal infections in children older than 3 years.
